BOTH SAMUEL BUSH, GEORGE H.W. BUSH'S GRANDDAD AND JOHN FOSTER DULLES, BROTHER OF ALLEN DULLES, WERE ON THE WAR INDUSTRIES BOARD.
ROBERT LANSING, UNCLE TO THE DULLES BROTHERS, WAS SECRETARY OF STATE DURING WORLD WAR I AND WAS CERTAINLY INVOLVED WITH THE WAR INDUSTRIES BOARD.
 
 
"WITH THE WAR MOBILIZATION CONDUCTED UNDER THE THE SUPERVISION OF THE WAR INDUSTRIES BOARD UNPRECEDENTED FORTUNES FELL UPON WAR PRODUCERS AND CERTAIN HOLDERS OF RAW MATERIALS AND PATENTS. HEARINGS IN 1934 BY NYE COMMITTEE LED BY U.S. SENATOR GERALD NYE WERE INTENDED TO HOLD WAR PROFITEERS TO ACCOUNT."

...IT WAS DURING WORLD WAR I THAT SAMUEL P. BUSH AND OTHER BOARD MEMBERS AMASSED FORTUNES SELLING WEAPONS AND MATERIALS NOT ONLY TO AMERICA BUT ALSO TO GERMANY. MOST OF THE RECORDS PERTAINING TO SAMUEL P. BUSH'S ACTIVITIES ON THE WAR INDUSTRIES BOARDS WERE LATER BURNED MYSTERIOUSLY "TO SAVE SPACE" IN THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES."
